Any experience with where to put upsell and cross sell options?

Hello,

I am the new Online Campaign Coordinator for a major web commerce site.

My task is also to improve the UX and improve sales.

Unfortunately there is no upsell option for a buyer when he chooses a product.

Do you guys have any experience with when to add such an option? Should it be listed together with the product before being chosen or after the product has been bought?

I have the attached following screen shots of what I want to A/B test.

Adding amount into basket from category page.

I run into a debate with some stakeholders today about the possibility adding "quantity" and "add to cart button" on a section/category  page for an e-commerce site selling consumer electronic.

However, I could not declare any data about my assumption:

Handeling Expired Credit Card Data

I am researching and documenting a best practice for handling existing expired credit card data.

Our business (heavy e-commerce website) is migrating all existing data from one database to another and felt it was a good opportunity to do some house cleaning by removing expired credit card data.

I also see this as a good opportunity to put in place a good practice moving forward.

Here are some approaches or a combination that I have in mind:

An immediate start remote/on-site contract UX Designer opportunity with data intensive experience

We at Bestica, nation's leading UX Staffing firm are very actively seeking a solid UX Designer, with at least 4 years of industry experience, with an immediate start remote/on-site contract opportunity in Schaumburg, IL. Occasional travel to client's site may be required.

An ideal candidate will be a skilled UX Designer with data intensive experience, such as shopper loyalty data, transaction log data. Also, the desired candidate should have experience working with reporting products that make heavy use of tables, charts, graphs, etc.

Shop as guest. Proceed without loging in.

In recent usability testing of an e-commerce site in Sweden we confirmed the low motivation of signing up for an account. We worked on the problem and brainstormed a solution to “shop as a guest”.

One of the stakeholders is concerned about fraud and swindles, especially writing a wrong email address which we need for order confirmation. Some wrong person would get a confirmation about an order which he/she has not placed and contact the media about our uncontrolled customer data.

Any of you got advice or experience with this?

Design pattern for multiple add to basket / quantity discount

Hi,

I'm looking for examples of best practice for a product page that has multiple buy options. The product has 4 different size options, all with different prices. In addition the prices are discounted if a user buys more than 10, 50, 250, or 1000. So effectively the product has 20 (4*5) different prices.

Now to simplify the page, the pricing could be displayed after a user selects size and quantity, but there's a benefit to the business of displaying all prices, so the customer realises the cost/benefit of buying more or larger product.

Best practice and/or thoughts on using videos in e-commerce website?

Aloha!

I'm looking for inspiration on how to use video in a "new and creative way".

My client has acknowledged the importance of video. (Great!) and would like to use video in a new and improved way on their e-commerce site! (But how!?)

So, here I am... Looking for best practices on using video in both product presentation AND in order to generate traffic to the website. The site is a large e-commerce site with all kinds of products to your house; from furniture to arts and crafts...

Looking for Great Registration/Purchase Paths

Hi, I am working on creating a streamlined, potentially integrated registration/purchase process for an online subscription product. Does anyone have any recommendations on site with clean, simple purchase paths ala Netflix?

Thanks in advance for the help.
