Localized UX research in France or doing research in another country and language

does anyone have any general experiences to share about doing research
in another country in a language no one on your team speaks?

More specifically, has anyone used any research agencies in France?

What is the Best Practice for Usability Testing a Registration Process.

Does any have any suggestions for how to best design a test for a
registration process.

We have 3 different scenarios involving a step process. If we take a
group of people and perform a usability test, should we put them
through all three scenarios? We're thinking this might skew results
as they'll become familiar with the scenario (because each scenario
has relatively minor nuances for differences). Also, they could
become fatigued.

Any suggestions how to produce the best results and most accurate
findings?

Living the Job >> Enterprise UX Research by Doing (vs. Observation)

Hi,

Does anyone out there have the experience of actually performing a given job
(for at least a day or three, perhaps longer) as a means of really
researching context, tasks etc.? Specifically, I am thinking of an
enterprise context, where the user doesn't have choice in tools, workflow
and there are some highly developed skills (ie more than the basic web
skills of an e-commerce user). Also, I am contrasting this approach to
on-site observation, empathic modeling and user role playing.

For example, working in a call center as a first line telephone customer
care agent.

Using Morae Recorder+Observer: Yes or no?

I'd like to hear from people who have to conduct usability sessions on their own, AND who use Morae Observer on a second laptop. Does it make you more efficient? How much more?

After a recent stint analysing a ton of Recorder data, I can affirm that I love Recorder but that I spend more time than I should in Morae Manager, and maybe I need to use Morae Observer together with Recorder so I can reduce time spent in Manager.

Any comments? Tips? Cautions?
