New Seattle group for female designers / UXers / devs / etc.

I'm starting a free, nonprofit coworking group called ++XX for women who do design / development /technical writing / social media / UX or whatever else. It's not a networking event... just a place to bring your laptop and work on projects and share skills. The first meeting is this Thursday. It's going to meet 4 times a month from 6pm-9pm on alternating Mondays and Thursdays (2 of those times at Metrix on Capitol Hill and 2 at Jigsaw Renaissance in the International District.)

HIVE 2011: A one-day event exploring the value of design in technology

HIVE 2011 is a one-day conference that explores the role of design in tech. The inaugural event produced by AIGA Seattle will take place in Redmond, WA at the Microsoft Conference Center on Friday, Sept. 16th, 2011 from 10am - 5pm. Whether you’re a designer, developer, or a founder, there's something in this conference just for you. We have a ton of great speakers and topics, but we're also working hard to provide a great framework for local UX professionals to engage with tech managers and bridge the communication gap to improve the products and services we build.

[Event] IxDA Seattle Happy Hour, Today, Feb 16

Time for the next 3rd Tuesday IxDA Happy Hour. I just got back from
the Interaction 10 conference in Savannah and all I can say is, if
you weren't there you missed out. But you can still come out to our
happy hour next week, catch up with some of the people who were
there, and discuss the future of interaction design.
