Sketch Phone - Sketching for mobile, on paper, in context

For years I have been sketching mobile interfaces at scale. Drawing on templates or just scribbing screen-sized boxes onto my notepads before I pick up the pencil. And I liked to check them in context; in the hand, walking around, etc.

App design concept - opinions sought (maybe win an iPad)

Our client has gone open with our recent design work, so as to get feedback on which route to choose.

Creating High Fidelity Prototypes for Desktop Applications

Hi,

I'm a design student looking for recommendations for an application/software (or any other method) that would allow me to create a high fidelity desktop application prototype for the purposes of demonstration and testing. Unfortunately I can't code :(

Right now I'm using Axure but it's got it's limitations since it's best suited for web and mobile.

Data modeling in prototypes (spec. Axure/Justinmind/iRise)

Hi all,

Just a brief intro before I start: I'm Scott Savage, and I'm a Senior UX Designer with Monster.com on the Government Solutions side. I, and my other UX counterpart, are on the Product Management team, and we're currently using Mockflow for our low-fi prototypes/wireframes, and manually constructing hi-fi versions in either Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and occasionally delivering fully interactive prototypes in HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Which prototyping software is best for interactive prototypes? Axure, iRise ... other?

I want to find a great interactive prototyping tool.

Note that I said "interactive."  Interactive wireframes are fine; but static wireframes are not.

Clean, production-ready code is not necessary. I don't need collaboration or documentation features.  Flow diagrams are only a plus.

Which tools should I spend the time to research?  iRise?  Axure?  Others?

Prototyping Tools 2012 - Axure RP 6.0 or iRise Studio

Hi all,

My first post on IXDA.

I realise that this point is raised periodically but wanted to get a quick verdict on the most popular prototyping and wireframe creation tools.

Criteria is that we are designing enterprise, transactional applications and platforms - with complex interactions and logic and our designers are using mixture of Mac and Pc as their workstations - so ideally I want something multi platform compatible.

Tools under the microscope are;-

Start creating mobile applications the right way

Since this place is dedicated to improving all of our skills, I think I will take the right to promote an App I have been working on because it might save a lot of time to anyone who is starting a mobile application. As most of you already know, the mobile space is growing at a fast pace and delivering top quality mockup to clients and developers is more than ever crucial. The point is simple, design is not anymore only graphics, looking at the interaction design is going way beyond this and must integrate the project approach to get the right mix.
