HFI Training Courses - worthwhile? Pros / Cons?

I am considering the fast track HFI usability courses - has anyone taken those? I found a thread from 2007 on the topic but was wondering if anyone had more recent experience. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone been to the PET design class offered through Human Factors

CUA

Hey everyone,

I am relatively new to this group and found it really fascinating.

I want a head start in the ID area and was wondering how the CUA program
is as a start. To give you my background, I have a M.S (2006) in Ergonomics
from Mumbai with a design thesis on 'Modes of transport for the disabled in
India'. I live in VA now and want to be equipped to join the professional
work force here as soon as possible.
