Guidelines for support documentation for apps

Hi Gurus!

I am currently starting to work on creating a pleasurable user experience for support documentation for an app. This app has versions that run on an iphone, android, mac as well as a windows OS.

Are there any guidelines or specs for creating such documentation?

Any light that you can shed on this will be very helpful.

Suggest mac software for video recording in usability lab

I'm working as a research assistant at a Swedish university and we're currently rebuilding our user experience lab. One of the problems we see with the lab is that it's way too complicated to do testing.

Mac apps for a recent convert ...

Hi IxDa folk ...

This may be a little OT.

I have finally switched to a mac. (Thanks to my new employer for
buying it!)

I am guessing that there are a lot of people on the list that use a
mac, and I have a question for y'all ...

As a UI/Ux/Ix Designer, what software should I take advantage of?

I used Fireworks on a PC, so now I am using it on a mac.

IxD: Mac Resources

Hi people,
I have decided to get myself a new laptop (economic crisis? what economic
crisis) which, happily, will be a MacBook Pro. So, having taken the plunge
and switched to Team Cupertino what Mac-based stuff do I need? In order to
keep the list traffic to a minimum please respond direct unless you think
it's of community importance (hope that's not too Nanny Bot-ish). At the
very least I'll be adding:

a) iWork 08, for all the Keynote goodness.
b) OmniGraffle

I'm thinking people will be suggesting Illustrator too.

What's the best Computer for Designers?

I could really use suggestions on the best type of computer to buy for web design.
I'm hesitant about buying an Apple cause most of my site's users are on PCs...
but I could be talked into it.

I was also thinking to get a laptop for easy mobility, but a desktop could be more suited for the job.

What do you like and dislike about your computer?
What would be your dream computer?

Thank you in advance
