Sustainable web design, sustainable virtual design - Looking for commentary and collaborators

Hi, this is Pete Markiewicz, a web/interactive design instructor in Los Angeles.

I'm currently exploring the idea of ongoing conversion of physical design to virtual services. This is dematerialization - one of the features of sustainable design articulated by Nathan Shedroff in his great book "Design is the Problem: The Future of Design Must Be Sustainable".

Which programming language should I learn?!

I am a new graduated interaction designer and have just started my professional career in a consultant company. I have a background in industrial design, so don't have any concrete knowledge about different programming languages. Just I know a little about html and css. Now I need your advice about what should I focus on? a new language like C or continuing with html and css? and what more I should add to this list!

thanks for your help in advance!

A hybrid prototype — the holy grail of wireframing

After reading through Zaki Warfel's Prototyping, I hoped it would shed light on the most effective techniques. It was a very good read and included some invaluable insights on progressively iterating from paper models to high fidelity designs. It's led me to make some assertions about prototyping tools...

On the hunt for fantastic html/jquery/css experts...

Does anyone have suggestions? I'm specifically in need of a developer for a current project, with potential for more in the future. Location is not an issue as I work remotely 100% of the time.

Thanks!

Do you know a good HTML person?

Could anyone here recommend a professional HTML coder available for a
small gig? An interesting (really) bootstrap startup developing an
enterprise social software platform is looking for an HTML person. We
have UI/Interaction design, thank you - that would be me - but we need
some HTML done by a person who knows his CSS and JQuery. Both social
gaming and enterprise interfaces are possible good backgrounds (told
you it's interesting). It's going to look great on his/her
portfolio.
