IxDA Announces Interaction|09 with Simon Fraser University, Vancouver,
B.C. February 5-8, 2009
The Interaction Design Association (IxDA) is pleased to announce
Interaction|09, to be held February 5-8, 2009 in conjunction with
Simon Fraser University’s School of Interactive Arts + Technology, and
the Faculty of Business, located in lovely Vancouver, B.C.
As the unofficial librarian, I am calling out to all IxDA members that are
authors. For the IxDA conference in Savannah, Dave M came up with the
brilliant idea of making sure that the SCAD bookstore was carrying as many
IxD, IA, UX related books and has asked me to compile a list to send to the
bookstore. In the spirit of community, I want to make sure that at the top
of the list given to the bookstore are fellow IxDA members.
The Interaction Design Association (IxDA) is now accepting
submissions for its first annual conference to be held in hip,
historic Savannah, Georgia, USA on February 8-10, 2008.
Submissions are for Lightning Session slots, each of which is 25
minutes in duration around a single topic. Single or duo speakers are
allowed, but no panels, please. Please submit only one idea per

the availability of the beta version of a new IxDA community
experience. Through the efforts of IxDA volunteers, and spearheaded by

After reading and posting here for a while, I believe that a great
deal of our unresolved disagreements are caused by the various types
of projects we work on. Certainly the consumer facing information web
site has different design constraints than the inward facing
corporate application. These may not be taken into account when
discussing our favorite approach such as UCD or GCD or whatever it is
