You may remember my message from a couple weeks ago announcing the new IxDA Discussions forum launching on Sept 24th. The time is here and we'll be launching the new site tomorrow. There are a few things to keep in mind during the transition:
1. You will need to setup a new account on the new forum. You can use your Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts to sign up, or you can create a stand along account on the new forum.
I’m excited to announce some upcoming changes and improvements to our online platforms. You’ve already seen new platforms for the Interaction conference and Interaction Awards, and in the coming year we'll be upgrading our online tools for local groups, organization information and communication, and our discussion forum.
The Interaction Design Association (IxDA) is accepting nominations to the 2014-2016 IxDA Board of Directors. As a volunteer-led and supported organization with no paid membership and largely virtual operations, IxDA relies on leadership emerging directly from the global community. We are seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals, ready to shape and guide the organization in furthering IxDA's goals and mission. Nominations will be accepted until Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 11:59 pm EST.
If you are considering going back to school in the fall, I would like to invite you to apply to Austin Center for Design. AC4D is located in Austin, Texas, and our program is one-year long; classes are held on nights and weekends, and the program is an affordable $12,000. We offer a unique combination of courses in interaction design and in social entrepreneurship, and many of our students go on to found and run their own double-bottom-line businesses.
