Announcing our first IxDA Toronto event in 2014: Information Visualization!

Information visualization has been gaining popularity over the past few years. It has moved out of research labs, and into websites, software applications, and more. We are excited to bring you two experts in this area, who will explore this subject from different perspectives:

Jeff Clark
Data Visualization Researcher at Neoformix
Specialties: Data visualization; data and text mining
Tonight's topic: Text Visualization - Beyond the Word Cloud

Noah Iliinsky
Visualization and interaction designer, practical cyclist. Visualization Expert at IBM.
Book author: Designing Data Visualizations, Beautiful Visualization
Tonight's topic: Four Pillars of Big Data Visualization

Noah will Skype in from Seattle for this event. The evening will include a short introduction to visualization, and a Q & A period after the talks. Beverages will be provided.

It should be a stimulating evening. We hope to see you there!
