Student Design Challenge: deadline extended to Dec 8
25 Nov 2013 - 6:08pm
Want to audition for the Interaction14 Student Design Challenge, but feel pressed for time due to finals? No worries: we've extended the submission deadline to Friday, Dec 8.
This year’s challenge, "Information for Life" is part of a larger design initiative by the Gates Foundation called “Records for Life.” While "Records for Life" focuses on the design of the patient record itself, the SDC challenge will focus on the experience: how people access, use, and deliver the record's information, asking students to consider the how context, behavior, culture, tech infrastructure, and language affect how we design for interaction when lives are at stake.
This year's challenge will give finalists even greater opportunities to collaborate with public health experts, the Records for Life finalists... and even conference-goers at the SDC Zoo, a space to use for research, co-design, or experience prototype testing and storytelling on the floor of the conference. Plus, exclusive workspace at Ijsfontein Interactive design studio next door.
To audition, submit a video about the topic and how you would approach it, along with 2-3 examples of your work.
