Location: Tempe, AZ Type: Full-time (Direct Hire) Salary: $90-100,000
1. Act as a project manager/product owner for our Analytics Software Offering. This is currently a software property in development and this person would take it through development iterations and launch the product for external purchase.
2. Create best practices and methodologies around hard core analytics to demonstrate actionable insights for our customers and internal team. Some one that has experience with statics and data analysis specifically in a marketing/web environment would do very well here.
1. Product Development
Manage the development of our software product (currently in development - very early stages)
Act as high-level project owner identifying or documenting requirements and user stories
Providing insight and strategy with the team to influence project direction
Bridge the gap between development and business in identifying the right ways to measure results from the software tool and create actionable analytics for the users
Manage the Beta roll out of the product and obtain feedback from users
Manage the Production roll out of the product
Long-term product evolution and management
2. Best Practices/Methodology Development in Analytics, Algorthiums and Data
Define best practices for implementing analytics tools for projects. For example, how to do a revenue analysis on a lifetime customer value.
Understand modeling and how to get the most out of your website
Research and keep up to speed on industry trends – i.e., twitter analytics, trends, models, heat maps
Educate our internal teams on implementing and properly using key analytics tools available on the market to drive better web performance.
Working with customers or internal team members to help them review results or structure key performance indicators or "events"
3-5 years’ experience in analytics, data science or software product development
Understanding and the ability to demonstrate using data to provide useful and actionable business insights for both internal and external teams.
Statistical or algorithm modeling is a major plus.
Knowledge of data management and infrastructure tools like Hadoop, OLAP, SQL,
Demonstrated use of multiple analytics tools
Ability to talk to customers and internal stakeholders (strong communication skills)
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Ability to work well in small teams and manage work with minimal direction
