An idea for generating revenue. I remember being told that the majority of the jobs seen on the IxDA job board come from Coroflot thus are not jobs that have generated posting revenue for IxDA. The idea of paying for jobs is not a bad one but why not do the following:

1) Remove the connection with Coroflot entirely. Do Interaction designers really want to scroll through jobs for handbag designers and product developers to find their ideal job (bear in mind the existence now of several free to post UX specific job boards)?

2) Reduce the fee to make posting more attractive

3) I've not been on it for a while, but at least after the initial Coroflot introduction there was a selector/filter so you can see just IxD jobs for example. That seems to have gone resulting in the user  having to scroll through the handbag jobs or playing keyword bingo (just don't type "design") :-)

I'm sure this would see an upswing in the job board usage as well as attracting more companies to post. Just an idea.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions Sean. The posting landscape for jobs is a constantly evolving one - and we do monitor it closely.

With the new job board format, you can still filter jobs by their tags but you are right, you need to type 'interaction design' to get these results rather than choosing it from a menu.

I'd be interested to know what you feel would be an attractive price point for posting?
