Job Board request: Remote positions

Hey everyone,

As a current remote job seeker, I'd love to see more explicitly remote (or open to remote) positions on the job board. Telepresence is becoming more and more prevalent, so it'd be great to separate those remote jobs out so folks like me can easily find them.

How can we make this happen?

P.S. To anyone looking to hire a full-time, remote UI Engineer or Product Designer, contact me kevin at kevinsuttle dot com. I'm currently looking for new role. Thanks in advance.

Thx for the feedback Kevin. We work with Coroflot on a regualr basis to flag new search ideas and opportunities. I'll pass on your suggestion directly.

It's a good idea. I wonder though are there enough positions to justify a new category? The design industry (largely) is very set against remote working with the argument being that creatives need to be co-located to get the best out of people. Folks have strong views about this but remote working is still a rarity in the UX world.

I second the motion. I do plenty of remote work and lean toward clients and positions that allow it.

Anecdotal but I know several UX people who do remote projects full-time.  I'm also a member of another design organization that sends out weekly job posts and there is a separate "remote" section. Invariably there are positions listed under it.

Adding to the anecdotal evidence database...I've worked remotely (with other companies or as my own company) for almost 10 years. In that 10 years, I've had two local gigs that wanted me to fly a desk. I've had one other gig that required me to be on site most of the time...and that was really as a UX engagement manager.

We have the tools, we have the technology, so let's do it! I second the idea that Coroflot should add the remote-work parameter.
