User-Centred Design Conference and Webinars

This note is an introduction to a two-day conference organized by the UK's most influential usability and UX organizations being held in London on 9th and 10th November and a brief reminder of our Visual Design for Usability webinar this coming Thursday at 16:30 London time.

UCD 2012 London Conference

This is a broad-ranging and affordable conference for anyone interested or involved in UX, usability and user-centred design on Friday and Saturday 9-10 November. See www.ucd2012.org for details.

Visual Design for Usability Webinar

The second of our series of Guerrilla UCD webinars is this coming Thursday (21 June). If you or your team have any involvement in designing web pages, application dialogs or forms you should book now. Slides will be available Wednesday and a recording will be downloadable by the 25th.

• Brief introduction to visual perception
• The importance of layout
• Grids
• Appropriate use of colour, fonts and images
