I for one think this is a great idea.  One of the reasons I only intermittently read this list is the high volume of posts, and jobs make up a big part of the noise.  It's not that I'm not interested in jobs, but I would much rather go to a dedicated job board to seek them.  The closer this list stays to its core purpose (dare I say... a forum for conversations about interaction design?), the more value it delivers in my book.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the case that all that's changing is that there will be a charge to post jobs to the jobs board? There is already a jobs board. Won't a charge now to post to it make it more likely that people will spam the list? As I understand it, the reason why there was such a flood of job posts to the board, and such a flood of complaints about it, was that when the new system was set up, everyone was subscribed by default to the job postings, and they weren't asked or told about it. Even when they complained. I don't think there are a lot of job posts to the standard list now, so if anyone thinks there is, maybe they should check their subscription settings on the IxDA site, if they can figure out how to.
