Ixda Seattle and Seattle Interact are proud to present:

...A round-robin presentation of work

Presentations:
A New View of Retail Wayfinding: Touch, Mobile, and Augmented Reality (Frog Design)
Katie Dill, Senior Interaction Designer, frogSF
This presentation of Intel’s Intelligent Digital Signage Proof-of-Concept explores how technology can enhance the consumer experience in a retail store. Using holographic glass, this sign provides an extraordinary glimpse of the retail environment: wayfinding and promotional information are presented to users in through an augmented reality view of the store. Touchscreen technology empowers users to view content that is relevant to them, while mobile integration allows users to send information from the sign to their mobile phone to consume at their own convenience.

Emotionally Engaging UX through the Marriage of Content and Experience (Wirestone)
David Kelley, Principal UX Architect, Wirestone.
In this case study we will look at the Nike Touch wall and how the ambient marriage of rich media content, multi-touch and targeted sound work together to engage with users and help Nike shape community awareness through emotional connections with content.

Any Device, Anywhere: Ubiquitous Access Vs. Meaningful Experience
As we continue to race ahead, past from AR, to VR, into the proverbial cloud, and then beyond, how can we as interaction designers create meaningful, delightful experiences that transcend a single device or medium? Chris Monberg (Managing Producer & Director of HAX Lab) and Zak Menkel (Producer & Content Strategist) from Hornall Anderson will talk about how we can put this evolving technology to work to enable more relevant, meaningful interactions with each other and with the wealth of data that’s at our fingertips.

Interaction Improv (T-Mobile)
Jon Mann, Senior Manager, Concept Design Team for Strategic Innovation Prarthana Panchal, Senior Interaction Designer, Concept Design Team for Strategic Innovation
The session will present exploration of kinetic UI's, including novel brainstorming techniques and rapid prototyping examples.

Thursday, September 16
6:30 doors (space limited, first 120 people)
