Event: Workshop on Survey Design, Dundee, Scotland, 7 September
Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE
If you happen to be in or near Scotland in September, you might be interested in this workshop.
It's about using surveys in user experience design. It's called 'Surveys in practice and theory' because I want to find out what user experience practitioners, researchers and students are really doing in their everyday work - and then compare that to what the survey methodologists recommend.
You'll find it billed as a 'tutorial' on the conference web site but really it's going to be a mixture of workshop and tutorial - and you don't have to put in a position paper to attend.
Disclosure: I'm also looking to gather stories and test out material that will contribute to a book that I'm planning.
It's part of the HCI2010 conference at the University of Abertay, Dundee.
The workshop is on Tuesday 7th September, and you'd then be handily placed to attend the conference in the rest of the week if you wanted to (you don't have to register for the conference if you just want to do the tutorial).
The cost is £110 to include coffee breaks and lunch.

P.S. Apologies for the odd start to this message; I've been unable to persuade the system to accept an email post, and the web post tool won't let me get rid of it.
