The Guardian has an excellent highly digestible wrap-up of Service Design, its brand origins, flavors, case studies and why it is so relevant today.

thoughts? flames? praises?

I am always delighted to see design topics taken seriously by the general public particularly as it relates to real gains increasing benefit to both user and business.

Thanks for this, Aynne. Organizing stories by one or more design topics is a great idea for a mainstream newspaper with a wide audience, and a great way to help their editors and journalists shape their stories. I notice, however, that all stories have the same dateline of last Friday, March 12. Hopefully they plan to add more stories?

The stories have the same dateline because they were part of a one-off special supplement to Monday's (printed) newspaper. The supplement was sponsored by the Service Design Network (http://www.service-design-network.org/content/guardian-supplement-service-design). Will they add more stories on the subject? It depends if Service Design becomes a mainstream subject, I guess!
