Hello everyone,

Are any of you familiar with accessibility issues regarding using tree
views on the Internet? I know that not everyone on this list are big
fans of tree views at all, and that tree views have some usability
problems that affect both those who suffer from disabilities and those
who do not alike. However, I am at the moment only interested in any
issues that affect only users with some kind of disability or affect the
disabled significantly more than people who do not have any
disabilities.

I am asking this question in particular with regards to relatively large
handbooks that are to be placed on the web, similar to the following
example:

http://www.skatteetaten.no/Templates/Handbok.aspx?id=16859&epslanguage=N
O
<http://www.skatteetaten.no/Templates/Handbok.aspx?id=14207&epslanguage=
NO>

The example is in Norwegian, but I hope you can still get the idea.

Thank you so much for any help,

Solveig

I would guess that people with visual impairment and using a screen
magnifier would lose the benefit of focus + context (e.g. always-visible
hierarchy like in the example site) and might have trouble keeping
track where they are in relation to other nodes.
