This blog post is an interview with an Israeli typographer who does both
typographic artistic installations and type/font design.

What I really liked about this article is the great source images that they
got access to. I felt like through the images I was able to really see how
Oded's work with artistic presentations of type impacted or otherwise
inspired the work he did as a type designer and visa versa.

It would be great if more studios afforded themselves this type of
exploration and focus.

Do people know of studios doing this type of work in the IxD space,
Industrial Design space.

I know that fusebox, Yves Behar's company, does mostly concept design work,
but it is not exactly "installation" work like Oded is doing, where his
expression is the primary driver the piece even when it is done on
commission. (we all have a client, include Michaelangelo).

Droog ( http://www.droogdesign.nl/ ) is (primarily) an industrial design
studio that does some interesting work that often challenges our norms
and perceptions.
