Hi,

I’m looking for IA/usability articles, best practices, and white papers on designing a web portal. Would anyone have something to share? I appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Patricia -
What kind of portal - intranet or externally-facing? Do you get to design
it from scratch, or are there legacy/redesign issues to deal with? I
probably do have a few things to share, depending.

I would second the SAP website recommendation. I also found this book
interesting when I was doing portal work:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0321125207/qid=1124212790/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-1737985-9655227?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

It's not really coming from the usability side, but it helps to
understand some of the larger issues faced with portals.

Thanks Doris and Jeff for your help. I will double check both references.
