Programming, poetry, choice of tools

Hi,
Awhile back I made a post comparing programming to poetry/creating
writing and why different programming languages might appeal to
different individuals. (This was in the context of why it makes
sense to me that some people would gravitate to Freehand over
Illustrator, for instance (or visa versa)).

I happen to come across this link where Richard Gabriel expresses his
views on poetry/programming/etc.
