How real and valuable is "above the fold" realestate?

Check out google labs browser size app. It shows what percentage of
people can see the parts of your page. I'm not sure how they got the
data, I don't think browsers report their size, do they? Well anyway,
for whatever its worth it may help you quantify your fold issue.
