Invitation for IDC, IIT Bombay Placement Week 14th-19 Dec 2009

This is to announce the commencement of the Placement week that has
been organized at IDC, IIT Bombay from 14 Dec - 19 Dec 2009.
Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT Bombay) has been a pioneer in providing excellent environment for
academics, research and applications in the field of design. IDC has
academic programs in the areas of Industrial Design, Visual
Communication, Interaction Design and Animation. The education
programme at IDC is a unique mix of pedagogic experimentation with
pragmatic design approach and blends hard-core problem solving with
design research. New thoughts, philosophies and research into several
aspects of design are experimented and integrated to have continuous
revitalization of the academic programmes at IDC
The placement week has been scheduled from the 14th December to 19th
December 2009. The placement week would aim to deliver an ideal
platform for the industry to initiate a formal dialogue with the
students from various disciplines in order to discuss their employment
opportunities and projects. The batch of 2008-2010 with strength of 48
students is an eclectic mix of designers from the four disciplines and
will graduate from the institute in June, 2010.
The Placement week would be held on the IIT Bombay campus and
interested companies are hereby requested to fill in the Job
Application Forms (JAFs), as a pre requisite to the placement process.
The JAF is available to download on website and 7th December, 2009 is
the last date to submit completed forms to the coordinator. The
complete procedure of the placement week and schedule is uploaded on
our placement website.
The designer community here at IDC is looking forward towards your
