Want to learn (or learn more) about User Experience Design -- Interaction
Design, Usability, and related fields? In this meeting, we'll sort through
our choices for education in User Experience fields -- ranging from free to
thousands of dollars -- from seminars to conferences to college degrees.
We'll focus on education here in Colorado, but also discuss out-of-state
options.

*Who Should Attend: *anyone who works, or wants to work, in the intersection
of humans and technology. Many, but not all, will be creating websites and
various types of applications. This includes

- college students of all kinds
- people already working as user experience designers, information
architects, interaction designers, etc.
- people in allied fields who want to incorporate User Experience
principles: software designer/developers, visual designers, project
managers, etc.
- anyone who wants to win a *free Balsamiq* desktop client - we're giving
two copies away! (We'll have a demo of Balsamiq at the beginning of the
meeting as well.)

*Cost: *free

*Parking: *Paid underground lot is just across Walnut Street (under the St.
Julien Hotel). Street parking may also be available.

*Big thanks to our venue sponsor:* Boulder Digital
Works<http://bdw.colorado.edu/>
is generously providing the venue, with special thanks to Allison Kent-Smith
for massive legwork. Located at the University of Colorado at
Boulder<http://www.colorado.edu/>,
BDW is a project-based and accredited learning initiative focused on
developing digital leaders and entrepreneurs. A joint effort of the School
of Journalism and Mass Communication <http://www.colorado.edu/journalism/> and
the College of Engineering and Applied
Science<http://engineering.colorado.edu/>,
BDW is led by acclaimed practitioners and researchers from business,
creative, and technology disciplines. BDW is designed for people who want to
change the world through digital creativity, innovation, and leadership.

*Generous donor of free software:* BalsamIQ Studios <http://balsamiq.com/>

It would probably help if I included the date and time (as well as an
address) rather than making you hunt for the info - so much for invitation
usability.

Date: November 18, 2009
Time: 6-8 PM
Address: 1011 Walnut St, 2nd Floor above Brasserie TenTen, Boulder, CO 80302
