So what is up with the IxDA forum, why is it made the way it is?
Its really the most confusing thing I have ever experienced.
I seem to have problems with reading all threads, sometimes I can see
someone have commented but cant find their post as if it gets cut off,
sometimes I cant submit a post?
Is there anything I am missing here? Is it legacy from old mail list
It's really weird sometimes the way it works. Every message gets
placed in the queue for moderation and sometimes I can't see my own
questions but I see members replying.
I would think that after posting a few times there would be
auto-approve process for submissions coming from certain email
addresses, but really don't know how it works.
Even I was wondering if I am missing anything.

I have thought the same thing. It's ironic to say the least
@Thomas: The IxDA Discussion list is in the first place a mailing

@Gayatri: IxDA Discuss is not a formally moderated list. However, to

Thanks for your answer.
Yeah I thought it had something to do with it being a email list.
But how hard can it be to submit the emails cronologically to the

Hi Thomas, et al.,
The current website was built awhile back solely through the generous
efforts of one of our members. Because it relies on the limited
capabilities of the Mailman mailing list technology, it sometimes has
difficulty collating emails into the proper thread. Additionally, note
that our moderation team comprises all volunteers.
Our new website is going to use core Drupal technology to provide an
online discussion forum with more stable & reliable capabilities, and
it will be augmented by the same email delivery options that you have
today. Going forward, we will continue to have an all-volunteer
moderation team so if anybody has issues with the experience perhaps
you could volunteer yourself to augment the team. :)
For me, it has worked excellently from the beginning. Thanks to the
team who are behind this. I use my email to get notified about new
discussions and get to the IxDA web to post my replies. I constantly
use my personal browser and there was no problem detecting my name or
need to sign in everytime I navigated from my inbox.
Of course like for anyone new there were first time moderations, I
had to wait to see my texts here. I got instant response from the
support team which made me feel there was really a human replying to
my queries unlike other webs where you'd get an auto reply default
What Im trying to say here is that my experience using IxDA has been
really wonderful so far :) Hope the team is able to continue the same
or improved experience with the new Drupal system for new subscribers.
