Experience Planners play an integral, strategic role in planning desirable
and useful customer experiences. Information Architects are responsible for
information organization, navigation, interaction design, and business/user
process engineering by applying user-centered design methods and interaction
knowledge or emerging mediums to translate user needs, business objectives,
and technology capabilities. Working with Strategy, Creative, and
Engineering teams to identify and define project scope and requirements.
IAs lead tracks of work, work directly with clients, and create and advocate
experience planning points of view both for the agency and for the client.


- 4+ years working as an information architect or interaction/UX designer
including experience in designing organization, navigation, and search for
large, complex consumer websites and simpler marketing microsites
- Versed in user-centered design methods and techniques
- Experience conducting competitive reviews that led to strategic
insights and recommendations
- Proficient in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical and process oriented skills
- Experience working on multiple project simultaneously
- Prepare IA documentation: use cases, interaction models, site maps,
wireframes, workflows
- Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams and with
- Thorough understanding of common web and digital interface conventions
- Experience working beyond the web site with emerging mediums: mobile,
social, gaming, kiosk
- Understanding of Flash, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and Content Management
- Automotive and/or agency experience a plus


- User experience audits and heuristic evaluations
- Define and design site structure
- Assess and optimize workflow processes
- Co-lead customer persona developments
- User profiling and scenarios
- Wireframes and infographics
- Solution prototyping
- User research/user testing
- Present concepts and progress to clients
- Plan and estimate for projects ranging from complex consumer websites
to simpler marketing microsites
- Participate or lead heuristic reviews of web sites or design artifacts
- Perform competitive and gap analyses
- Supporting design and engineering in their work processes
