Hi all,
Just watched a movie of a tool called SketchUp. Maybe I've been asleep, but
I hadn't heard of it before. I post it here because it looked to me like
they have achieved some nice, natural direct-manipulation in 3D. I could
pick nits (sometimes seemed like lots of back-and-forth to the tool palette)
but I'm hardly qualified since I've only seen the movie and not used the
tool (e.g., maybe the back-and-forth is because they needed to show the
tool-pick to make the movie clear).

Anyway, if you collect examples, are interested in visual sketching, or like
to look at 3D modeling tools, check out:

Cheers,
Marc

This is a great tool. Alan and I use it as an example in
About Face 2.0....

Robert.
