I am wondering if anyone on this list has done IA or usability
research for television graphics, both in terms of screen layout and
transition through various different pieces of content. I am not
looking for "interactive TV" applications -- I am more interested
in graphics that appear on traditional TV broadcasts (think ESPN
bottom line or CNBC stock ticker)

If you have worked in this area, can point me to studies in this area
or firms that specialize in this type of work, please let me know.
Thx.

My master thesis in visual communication entitled "Channel Identity"
covers all components of television on-screen graphics.
I have good experience about this subject too.
There are not many resources or books about this area and as you
know, this area covers many different components; tell me what
exactly you wanna know about it.

I started to do one on MLB score graphics on different channels around
playoff time last year; but alas, real work took over my time and it fell by
the wayside. I'd love to see what you find out.
