Interaction design can affect everyone

I'd add automated waiting-room queueing systems - at my local National
Health Service health centre there is a brilliantly simple multi-lingual
touch-screen for checking in your arrival together with a rather less
helpful overhead three-line dot-matrix sign calling checked-in patients to
their doctor and room.
