Seeking a FREELANCE SENIOR INFORMATION ARCHITECT asap for 2-3+ months,
perhaps longterm/temp-to-perm for the right candidate. Client is a
fun-loving, dynamic, and *very* busy boutique agency in Manhattan, working
on a a high-profile project; a entertainment/community site with complex
transactional elements, applications, and video/community boards.
Ideally 5x/week onsite; some potential flexibility here
40 hours/week
Local NYC candidates only
1-2 short trips to Arlington, VA
REQUIREMENTS:
. Must be able to present high-fidelity, complex and beautifully
constructed wireframes + sitemaps that exhibit near obsessive amounts of
attention to detail. Visio + Omnigraffle skills are preferred, but if you're
strictly a Mac person, it's still workable.
. Must be able to run project independently from start to finish and
be extremely client-facing and tactical.
. Mentoring ability is appreciated, but major management experience
is not necessary.
. Possess proven ability to run a project start to finish,
independently, and work collaboratively with team + client directly.
. Have experience working on the strategic planning stages of a
project, help conduct/assess stakeholder interviews, conduct whiteboarding
sessions, sketch out ideas + participate in planning meetings
. Exhibit a problem-solving, in-the-trenches mentality who can solve
problems + go with the flow in a very fast-paced environment and be able to
juggle multiple projects or part of projects simultaneously.
PROJECT:
For very high-profile, internationally recognized + historical client.
You will be involved in the initial planning stages of the project,
sketching, creating structural site concepts, and serving as a major
contributor to ideation + strategy meetings. Must also be extremely fast +
thorough in hands on wireframing + project planning skills.
Site will include community message boards/chatrooms, donation +
transactional functionality, entertainment + video players, etc. Will
require UX heavy lifting and thorough knowledge of UX best practices.
May also be asked to juggle other projects that need attention, too.
