Anyone know of a brand's product site within Amazon that offers a
great user experience (good product information, good content...).
For example, Nikon has lots of products, but not much else.

Very interesting question. I have to ask, how do you define a great
user experience for a brand page via Amazon?

I feel the vast majority of users go to Amazon to buy things, plain
and simple. For my money the best UX on an Amazon brand page is
simple. Can the user find what they are looking for and can they buy
it quickly? If they wanted the bells and whistles they would go to
the store or the brands website.

My line of thinking breaks down if the 'average user' goes to
Amazon to perform deep research of products, i.e. wants detailed side
by side comparisons.

After looking through about 30 brand specific pages I am surprised at
how badly some of them are put together. Terrible organization, visual
clutter, and no logo or branding! C'mon that's easy! Ouch. It is
rather apparent that most companies view this is a simple catalog.

The next question that begs to be asked is how much control does a
brand have over their specific page?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
