Hello everyone,

In this forum we often discuss local context of IxD and its associations
across cultures.
However from industry point of view , i would like to hear views about how
jobs related to interaction design are spread across the world.
Design labs are not present in every country and most products are designed
in the developed nations, while developing nations are just coping up with
new designs as per their complexities.

What are the best cities across the world to work as an interaction
designer?
Which are the most lucrative locations across the world to get good pay
packages as an IxD professional?
Which governments are serios about understanding IxD related jobs?

It would be really usefull to hear some expert views on the same.

Thanks,
Amit Patil

Regarding the pay bit, this might help:

Filter the results by selecting 'Interaction/ Web Design' from the
'Area of Concentration' dropdown.

With a sample size of around 400, it's not a very good source,
especially since what you get is a mix of interaction and web design
professionals, but could be useful to begin with.
