Title: Interaction Designer - Global Photo Site
Location: San Francisco
Compensation: Competitive DOE

An online photo service that lets subscribers share, store, and edit
digital photo albums through the company's website is searching for a
Interaction Designer to design a variety of projects and work
cross-departmentally in a fast-paced environment. The Interaction
Designer will design the flows, wireframes and interactive behavior on
websites, influencing consumer behavior and driving commerce.

Responsibilities include:
* Designing page functionality and flows
* Assessing and analyzing current site traffic, market trends and best
practices in order to help build a site that is known for its easy usability
* Developing new projects that address primary user and company needs
* Analyzing and optimizing current flows and designs to address the
consumer needs
* Creating page schematics and flow documentation, to translate
requirements to visual designers
* Providing accurate, aggressive sizing estimates for projects and
meeting fast-paced timelines according to schedule
* Providing feasibility analyses on new projects and requirements
* Working with front-end developers to design pages with reduced
complexity and faster load times
* Work collaboratively across production team to support a creative
environment that fosters innovative designs that speak to the core customer
* Establishing User Interface standards, policies and procedures for the
website
* Supporting marketing activities by researching and tracking
effectiveness of existing flows; optimizing as necessary
* Defining and tracking key success metrics for the user interface

Requirements:
* Three to four years of user interface design experience, with at least
three years of online/e-commerce development
* Demonstrated experience in executing corporate and product
requirements into a site vision
* Deep knowledge of latest online emerging technologies
* Strong analytical ability to evaluate and prioritize opportunities
* Solid process/policy development, enabling high growth with limited
confusion
* Energetic, proactive leader who can move quickly and decisively
* Aggressive, results-driven orientation
* Passionate, driven, tenacious, sharply intelligent professional
* Excellent analytical skills and comfort working within an environment
where efforts are measured against quantitative objectives or ROI
* A creative, out-of-the-box thinker and problem-solver, with a
test-and-learn, direct-response mentality
* Straightforward, no-nonsense approach, with meticulous, unfailing
attention to detail
* Willingness to personally jump in and tackle what needs to be done,
with an entrepreneurial spirit
