There's at least one laptop floating around there that replaces the need for
a login password with the image of your face. Do you have any experience
with such a thing? How'd it work out for you?
I am so tired of typing passwords.

if I'm getting the story straight from the people I asked here at
Dragnet, we did a review of a couple of laptops from Toshiba and IBM (we
are a facial recognition security software company after all), and the
facial recognition on the laptops was not really well implemented, and
it was not well received by the people who tested it their
functionality.

That said, the fingerprint authentication seemed to work much better in
their opinion.

hope this helps.

I used to work for CryptoMetrics, a biometric solutions company in NYC. They
have a variety of facial recognition systems that are quite accurate.
Privaris also has a cool device that we developed fingerprint biometric
authentication software for that would store the credentials right on the
device, so you could use it literally from the door to the desktop and
everything in between.

Fun times.
