You might want to look for literature on the Philips CD-I format (1989-96)
or on WebTV -- both are interactive formats geared to TV resolution. Not
that I've seen much published about them, but it might be worth searching...

Hey folks,

I am looking for software to use in testing TV-applications, does anyone
have any experience in conducting digital/interactive TV tests?

Are there any good books or references about digital/interactive TV
interaction
design?
So far, I haven't found any and I am wondering how the existing applications
were designed, what criteria for user-centered design were followed, what
guidelines etc..
Obviously more and more interactive TV applications are being created and
used (more so in Europe) but very few have been discussed in the HCI &
interaction
design circles.
The research and articles I have found so far is dated 1998-2000, but none
of these present or discuss "any lessons learned or best practices".
Perhaps I have missed something, so I'll be very glad to get some hints
& info.

Thanks,
Zayera
