i'm currently looking for some papers, articles, or other resources for
innovative and different interaction patterns for preferences, options,
and configuration settings. So far, I've only been able to locate a few,
and they're really not all that interesting...
anyone have any good references or information they would like to share?
thanks in advance.

I am looking at this problem too esp. customing colouring of screen elements
etc. in context or in a 'customise' mode.
Any points you can share?
Any best practices others can share emerging from RIAs?

not sure if this is along your lines, but i'm looking for examples of
product configurators. i have sampled nike, converse (chuck taylor),
mini cooper, blue nile, and timberland and would love to see more.
