Hello fellow members,
I would like to know how organizations view "empathic design". Is it
something that they take seriously?
What is your view on this form of working?

Kind regards

Ali

Hello Ali,

Could you define "empathic design"? I assume you meant the use of
design and evaluation methods that promote empathy for users and other
stakeholders (outside the product team), but I wanted to confirm that
is what you meant. Many methods and reporting approaches (like videos
of users) are meant to evoke empathy. For novel products that don't
yet have any actual users, there are methods like future workshops
and participatory design methods that might be considered empathic
design.

Ali,
I think you might be referring to "emotional design" or
"funology" which we just started a conversation about this morning.

Is this what you are referring to?
