Hi!

As it says in the subject, I'm looking for a well designed webshop -
checkout process that includes many options and ramifications. Not
something "easy" like books or CDs :-)

A good example would include products that need to be
configured/personalized during checkout.

Thanks!

Joerg

Checkout has been worked out to fairly consistent flows.

There are standards for this, so you can audit flows from existing sites and
gleen this information off of your favorite site.

It doesn't happen "during checkout" per se, but I built this site awhile back: http://www.autumnriders.com/

It requires selecting a motorcycle, its colors, entering custom text, selecting thread colors, selecting a garment, etc, before checkout. The product line has grown quite a bit, and I haven't touched it for 5 years or so (someone else has maintained and improved it), but it's quite complex...

Joerg-

It doesn't get much more complicated than this:
http://store.palm.com/wireless/index.jsp?categoryId=2584212

There are a couple of flavors, whether you are selecting a new wireless plan, porting a number, ordering accessories, opting for a multi-line plan, extending a contrct...I'm already starting to have flashbacks.

I *hope* I did a good job on it, but I'll leave that to others to decide.

Take a look at the Apple store - customization made easy.

Also, look at the activation/checkout process through iTunes for the
iPhone.

Finally, we did the product selection and checkout process for
ATTWireless.com. It's been a few years - before they were Cingular
and now back to AT&T again, but I think the majority of our work is
still in there.

Cheers!
