IxDA SF Event : Communicating Concepts with Comic : Wed. 8/22
16 Aug 2007 - 1:25pm
IxDA San Francisco arrives with its first public talk in the city.
For the first event in our design tools series we present Kevin Cheng, who will talk about Communicating Concepts with Comic.
Wednesday, Aug 22, 2007
Cooper, 100 First Street, 26th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105
6:00 pm – Social Hour
7:00 pm – Presentation
Often, wireframes, requirements, personas and other documents have
yielded unsatisfactory results – that is, when they are read at all. At
Yahoo!, Kevin Cheng has been experimenting with using comics as a
technique for communicating the core concepts behind a design’s
intended user experience.
In this presentation, Kevin will share how this technique has worked
well to get teams informed and on the same page, without fixating on
interface details too early in the project. He’ll demonstrate an
in-depth walkthrough of his process and the advantages he’s found using
comics over other methods. Best of all, you won’t even need to take an
art class to use this methodology.
We have other great events in the works, but we’re always on the look
out for great speakers with great presentations.
If you’re interested
in speaking at a future event or have an idea for a future
presentation, please get in touch! (email: sf-local at ixda.org)
