JOB TITLE: Director, User Experience Design

Primary Responsibilities:

Create a user experience vision and strategy for our Small Business
Division offerings
Prioritize User Experience work to align with corporate goals and
business objectives (critical few, high-return projects)
Plan innovative changes to UI design, information architecture,
strategy, development processes and organizational
capabilities/structure
Develop a world-class user experience research and design team
Ensure a positive, collaborative, high-performance work environment
Manage run-the-business aspects of a 40 - 50 person team
Monitor external research, standards, inventions, and trends for
potential opportunities
Collaborate across businesses on shared UI frameworks, design patterns,
and cross-offering experiences

Qualifications

Proven leadership in the User Experience Design profession
Master's of PhD in design, the social sciences, HCI or related fields
10 years work experience in User Experience Research & Design, financial
institution experience a plus
Excellent command of: user experience methods, design principles,
problem-framing skills, verbal and written communication skills
Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across
teams/groups/functions
Strong track-record of developing and hiring great people
