The Director User Experience will join the Customer Experience Group at
inQ and will be responsible for leading usability design and research
effort for next generation chat and phone assisted online shopping


* Foster innovation and champion user-centered design and user

* Establish processes as needed to support user experience

* Conduct market and usability research and focus groups and
translate insights into design decisions, new products features and
compelling user experiences

* Collaborate with others in Product Management, Marketing,
Engineering and Analytics & Optimization to develop new products and

* Assist in the design and prototype development of advanced

* Stay abreast of technical or experiential innovation on the
web and look for ways to appropriately integrate these into the inQ

* Increase revenue by helping teams create more desirable,
useful and usable products

* Review potential customer websites and design optimal
ChatCommerce interaction paths

* Review client website and analytics and other available
materials and propose ChatCommerce Solutions and customize by vertical

* Attend client meetings and present advanced chat solutions

* Design A/B tests for optimizing chat on websites during
implementation and post launch in partnership with the Analytics &
Optimization Group

* Document chatCommerce Solutions best practices as they

* Assist in the development of future chat features and

* Responsible for setting up and administering the UI Lab and
running focus groups


* Passion for customer focus and innovation and ability to
inspire and motivate others.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Information
Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human Factors or similar

* Solid understanding of the design of web services, with a
proven track-record launching eCommerce experiences

* Familiarity and working knowledge of: Web2.0, Flash

* Solid understanding of user-centered design and product
development processes and demonstrated experience using these

* Demonstrated experience leveraging user research effectively.

* Strong analytical and oral communication skills; ability to
effectively communicate creative vision to varying audiences and at all
levels of an organization.

* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

* Must be organized and able to switch rapidly between projects

* Experience with site personalization and targeting
technologies a plus

* A solid understanding of business goals with the ability to
translate them into intuitive designs Strong Viso, Excel and Powerpoint

* Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of modern
front-end technologies & approaches (XHTML/CSS, ActionScript,
JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, etc.) and the curiosity to tinker.
