This position acts as the point of intake for the User Experience team. The Producer will work directly with team members (interaction designers, visual designers, and content developers) and with contracted vendors and agencies to design the user experience of Blue Shield’s self-service products online and as part of its voice recognition (IVR) system. The Web producer will coordinate UE project activities to ensure that work is accomplished with high quality, within established time frames and budget, and will meet business needs.

Responsibilities
Serving as the daily go-to person for capacity planning, project resource assessment, and status of all projects running in the User Experience Department
Communicating with internal stakeholders on project steps and objectives
Monitoring projects from initiation through delivery and strives for continuous improvement
Managing scope, change requests, and final delivery
Tracking project interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project implementation/deployment
Leading presentations and facilitate project meetings
Escalating issues to others with more experience or authority when necessary
Driving project management processes and track project schedules, including identifying risks
Prioritizing work in a dynamic, demanding environment
Managing multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines
Demonstrating strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills to work with people at all levels
Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth experience in eBusiness/web/internet/ EDI/technology.
Deep subject matter expertise in technology and/or healthcare/financial services business.
Healthplan business process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: customer acquisition, sales and employer/producer processes, membership installation, customer service, claims processing, health provider processes, medical management, data processing, content management.
Functional and technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: web tool/application/portal, electronic communication/collaboration, data exchange (EDI, HIPAA, direct), online navigation/publishing/interaction/access/us.5+ years experience producing and/or project managing aspects of high-traffic, transactional corporate websites, or equivalent agency experience
Proficient in the project management of User Centered Design, production deliverables and general web development process
Knowledge of the key components of project management (e.g.-scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, integration) and associated tools and methodologies, including the project management life-cycle
Strong understanding of interaction and visual design disciplines as well as front end development standards
Enthusiasm for championing website design and the user centered design methodology
Proficient in source control and software defect tracking software (this will be one of the main views into our daily workflow, and the open issues facing the department)
Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Project, and Visio
Understanding of HTML, CSS, Photoshop Illustrator, and content management systems/templating (ideally Interwoven TeamSite)
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, third party vendors, and contractors
Comfortable and adaptable in organizations with change
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with experience directly working with business as well as technical stakeholders
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly efficient, and able to work independently
