that is simply insane!
I'm assuming they dont issue illegal drugs to the developers at
Nintendo.. so, how on earth do you make the transition from 3rd place
has-been in the console market to leapfrogging Sony and Microsoft,
with their infinite resources, in one generation?
Innovations like this Balance Board are so mind-bendingly out of the
box.
Its like we've been playing in 2-d up till now and Shigeru Mayamoto
unlocked the 3rd dimension of game interaction. Its so obvious,
simple and most importantly, the illusive 'intuitive', back to a
world of gameplay over cpu heavy effects.
For what its worth, the wii-mote is open to using on macs, I
regularly burn up 5 minutes playing with this drum machine

You can also control the mouse, handy for presentations.

And a video of a DJ controlling Traktor with a wiimote:

Who knows what doors the Wii Board will open (literally?)
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The Balance Board looks really cool.
When do I get sensors for my feet, so I can control how fast I run? anyone?

On second thought, maybe the Wii board will do this. I assumed that it
would be difficult to run in place on such a small surface.
That and I seem to destroy running shoes in less than 3 months, who
knows how long that board would last!
cheers!

If your feet are using Nike, and your ears an iPod, I would say right now...

Dunno, but I'll be thrilled as soon as they nail the obvious board sports interactions. If only they could haptically reproduce the feel of gravity, pitch and deep snow...
