A major financial services company in Boston MA is looking for an
Interaction Designer to fill a key role on a very high profile project.
This is a 6+ month contract position.

POSITION SUMMARY

Work in partnership with Web Usability Manager and the project team to
provide user experience perspective on a key web-based application. Create
and test designs, establish and adhere to style guidelines, and assist in
the creation of information architecture. Accomplish all of the above
through close, continual contact with end users while balancing business and
organizational needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as user experience representative, working with multi-disciplinary
project teams. Create and review designs based on business requirements.
Develop wireframes and prototypes to communicate design vision to project
teams and iterate accordingly. Plan, execute, analyze and communicate
results from usability testing. Recommend changes to designs based on
usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and user-centered design
principles. Work with development to guide design through the project
lifecycle. Create, manage and update internal style guide for web sites and
web-based applications.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Requires college degree, three to five years prior experience in user
experience and usability, and six to eight years of business experience.
Familiarity with user-centered design principles as well as experience in
usability testing, information architecture, and interaction design.
High-level understanding of web application functionality. Ability and
desire to work independently. Proficiency in wireframing/storyboarding tools
such as Visio or Dreamweaver; HTML; design software such as Photoshop.

Experience with complex workflow systems and experience in a financial
industry are a plus.
