nimble, but integral team in designing AOL's newest and coolest Web
products. The team's focus will be on behavioral tracking and
personalization, RSS, and social networking with lots of input into
product direction. Our Mountain View campus offers free coffee, a

We're seeking a Senior Interaction Designer with 5-7 years of
experience, mostly in the consumer Web space. Our ideal candidate is a
human advocate who can balance great design with reality and knows more
than one way to meet requirements.


- Conceptualize, design and translate ideas/requirements into wire
frames, and specifications.
- Lead innovation projects
- Work closely with development, product and visual design teams
- Work with folks in other time zones
- Know when and when not to be consistent
- Be willing to travel (20% max)
- Understand how to use the latest Web technology to design dynamic,
usable experiences
- Sketch from time to time

Required Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in HCI or lots of related experience
- Extensive experience designing large, highly trafficked web sites as
well as desktop software and web applications
- Ability to solve complex interaction problems with technically viable
- Mentor junior interaction designers and provide guidance
- Able to collaborate with others in a cross-functional team and foster
a positive collaborative environments
- High proficiency with design software.

Desired Skills
- Translate concepts into interactive prototypes
- Use lots of social and "Web 2.0" sites
- Experience with prototyping tools
- Lead research and usability activities
- Lead brainstorming activities
