Designing Legal Terms and Conditions, and Customer Agreement Interactions

I am looking for best practices for the design of customer agreement
interactions, (e.g. Check this box to acknowledge that you have read and
agree to the blah) Also any exceptional and least disruptive design of
legal, regulator[Andrew Robinson] y, customer agreement forms, terms &
conditions, footers, etc.
Any examples would be most helpful.
