I have been thinking of doing this for a while, and the time has come.

Over the years, i've added to my InDesign Libaries and they have
become large and unwieldy.

I would like to compile the best of the best of InDesign Libaries, one
for "functionality elements" (drop-downs, scrollbars, calendars, radio
buttons, etc) and one for "illustrations" (people silhouettes, maps,
products for ecommerce apps, other placeholder vector illustrations
and images)

If you are interested in sharing yours, please send your InDesign
libraries you frequently use to me, and i will clean them up and
compile them into the 2 categories and send them to anyone on this
list who requests them.

If your libraries are like mine, they are messy and full of
duplicates-- but don't worry about it, I will re-organize them, so
don't let that prevent you from sending them as is (ie, don't
procrastinate, just send them now!)

I'm hoping this will be useful for all of us InDesign users.

Excellent idea! I'm looking into converting to InDesign from a Visio
workflow and looking for stencils, I mean libraries, to work with.

Thanks for offering to do the mass compilation!

Maya,
Having stepped up to this, have you considered simply making these a
"project" on one of the open source community sites? Projects do not
need to be limited to development code, but can be IP as well. There
are, however, a number of advantages that would get if managed
correctly, including revisioning, self-service downloads, news, etc.

Well, nobody contributed but I'll share mine anyway. Call it community service.

Wireframe elements InDesign library can be downloaded here:

Enjoy!!

PS: use InDesign!
