Our client is recognized as one of the world's leading creative
consulting firms. With a cross-disciplinary team of more than 325
employees, they offer a broad range of industry expertise to Fortune
500 clients in fields such as consumer electronics, software,
entertainment, finance, medical, retail, and fashion. As part of
their continuing expansion – eight studios internationally, an
influx of new clientele, and escalating involvement with current
partners – they are looking to grow the team.

We’re seeking industry visionaries in every discipline who see
design as the key to improving product experiences, businesses, and
the lives of consumers. We’re interested in those individuals who
see the intersections between research and creativity, analysis and
aesthetics. The team includes technologists, industrial designers,
software and UI designers, strategists, writers, artists,
illustrators – all working together to solve the business challenges
of their clientele.


The *General Manager* (GM) manages clients for their respective
office. The GM is responsible for the overall management of each
division locally as well as the management of convergence of all
position requires the ability to work cross functionally with team
leaders in a Matrix Management Organization.

The GM collaborates with other business unit leaders to formulate
consistent operating plans, strategies and tactics to achieve
profitability, growth and cross-servicing operating goals. The GM
must have a clear understanding of business planning processes to
ensure financial controls and reporting systems managed within their
organization. In addition, the GM will review operating reports and
conduct monthly/quarterly reviews to ensure accountability for
performance vs. plan and to lead divisions to exceed their top and
bottom line objectives.


*30% Business Development:*

New client engagement management and top-level business,
marketing and creative leadership in client attainment. Revenue
is measured via pre-established financial forecast and pipeline
on a monthly metrics. Align expenses to revenue for margins.

25% Develop and Manage Projects and Budgets:

Assist in the creation of yearly financial business goals and
objectives. Ensure financial goals are supported and achieved
through effective budget management of processes and procedures
(from lead generation to close). Make strategic decisions
regarding purchasing and project management, utilizing standard
decision matrixes. Achieves and maintain profitability.
Effective analysis of Utilization Reports for optimum human
resource allocation.

*20% Leadership:*

Build and lead a team of operations experts. Maintain ultimate
responsibility for defining strategic objectives for the team and
ensure these objectives are met within schedule and budget. Serve as
a mentor. Specific duties may include but are not limited to
developing and teaching industry knowledge and career development.

*15% Ensure overall customer satisfaction:*

Utilize established procedures and practices as tools to maintain
the highest level of service through out the operation. Continue
creating new/innovative procedures to satisfy future customer needs.
Cultivate and manage high-level customer accounts i.e.: relationship
management, new services and escalation and issue management.

*10% Manage Performance of clients:*

Manage, monitor and evaluate performance of client deliverables
maintaining the quality of services to agreement are upheld to the
highest standards of reliability, performance and cost effectiveness.

The position will be evaluated upon the success of the following:

- Demonstrated P&L business leadership, strong operating and
financial skills.

- Understanding the operational economics of the company,
influencing the financial drivers and improving operation.

- Understanding the profession of a designer.

- Developing top quality managers within a convergent environment.

- Exercising sound business judgment with a highly effective
management style.

- Demonstrating strong and persuasive communications skills,
including written, oral and public presentations effectively.

- Adapting quickly to change

- Demonstrating a high patience threshold.

We currently have positions open in the New York and Palo Alto
studios and will provide relocation.
